Central Jackson County Fire Protection District:
Since 1981 the citizens of Grain Valley have been provided a wide range of emergency and non emergency services by the highly trained professionals in the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District. In 1996 a new station was constructed on Route AA within the city limits. The station is continuously staffed to ensure the citizens receive fast response time to any calls for service. The services provided include fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, natural disaster response, emergency medical care, rescue, fire safety inspections, public education and code enforcement. Like the Police Department, Central Jackson County Fire District solely to serve the citizens of our community and all those who visit here.

Education:
Grain Valley has a long history of supporting a top quality public education system. Bond and levy issues have been passed without fail by the electorate for more than 25 years including eight building bond issues and three levy issues.
The district is fully accredited, the highest rating available to a public school in the State of Missouri. The district's tax levy of 4.24 compares favorably with other school districts in Eastern Jackson County.
The average teachers' salary in the district approaches $29,000. Nearly 60% of the faculty has earned a Master's Degree. Pupil/teacher ratios are among the lowest in the area and pupil attendance is the highest in Jackson County. Nearly 68% of the district's graduates pursue post-secondary training at a two-year or four-year college or at a university.
